I was always led to believe that the first day of Spring is February 1st - Saint Brigid's day.
But, on looking it up on that unfailing fount of all knowledge - the internet  - I find it falls on March 20th in 2012.

March 20th - a way to go yet. Do you do a 'spring cleaning'?
As a child I ALWAYS looked forward to spring - no more having to wear a heavy coat, flowers starting to bloom, the air smelled fresher, light rain more often & of course, summer vacation just around the corner!

I could be doing a Spring Cleaning all year round! 
Yes, I do look forward to spring! Winter is such a dark time with the short evenings. At least the days get longer every day leading up to Spring. I love to see all the new growth coming up. ;D

I agree - I don't like it to get dark til like - 8:30 or later.

Whatever anybody else says, Spring begins for me today, February 1st! The weatherman on TV tonight agrees with me! ;D
So let's get on with enjoying the Joys of Spring! LOL!
