There are lots of sites with this title in Google. I chose this one because it's fairly simple and practical.
Why not share your backyard bird photos here? Doesn't have to backyard only. All of your bird photos can go here!

Mr. / Mrs. Magpie making claim to some food I put out for the cat! He/she thinks it is for him and defends it vigorously if the cat comes near!

Whisker, cranes are all over down here, usually in pairs or w/ their young. They have a very loud squawk & aren't afraid of people.
The heron & hummimgbird are cool.

Have never seen a crane or a humming bird. You really can see how fast the humming-birds' wings are flapping in the pic. Love the cranes, penny!

Here is Mrs. Blackbird looking at me from my back garden. Isn't she a fine bird? She is not as frightened of me as other birds, so I could get fairly close.
... and here she is peering into the undergrowth and showing off her back.

She looks well fed, too!
Yes, she does. Blackbirds are great foragers and are adept at picking worms out of the lawn. They especially like to visit after I have mowed it. They don't eat very much from the cat dishes, like the magpies do.

Coming from you, FMS, that is praise indeed! ;D
Thanks for you comments, Gayle. Mostly I snap birds through my window. The magpie came out very clear, considering he was snapped in that way.

Going through old photos, I happened upon this one of Cock Robin, nestling in the ivy, which had just been trimmed.

They really are a pretty little bird where are robins are large and there whole underside is dark orange and not near as pretty. I guess little birds are prettier in general.
