I do like Prince Charles, and good for him to get out in nature, and do what he enjoys doing. He is obviously confident, in what he is doing too. I think we do forget the Royals are human too, as Charles has proven on his weeding and tending the gardens at Belmoral too. He is a hands on Prince with a keen eye for nature too.

I hope to spot some more soon as I can go out for long walks, and take the camera with me. I still have my last years finds if Whisker would like them added on here?
I love the variety of fungi.

If there are any growing here right now I'd never know. They would be covered with leaves. But I wouldn't eat any of them anyway. I have only one life to live and I don't plan on turning it over to a deadly mushroom...

Feel free to add your pics, elaine! BTW, I have to point out, it was WF who started this thread - not me I was whisker2 at at that time.

Joebert, that is beautiful, and a lovely colour too. Do you know what type it is? I thought it was honey fungus, but unsure. It sure makes a nice statement.

They take up a huge area but I have no idea what they are and would never eat them...would you?

They don't look edible, but they make a lovely pic.

Those fungi pics are amazing, elaine! Lovely records of your walks - as these fungi are so fleeting. Very often here today - gone tomorrow. i think where there is rotting wood or wood-chip is a good source of finding interesting fungi.
As children we used to get up very early in the and go mushroom hunting for our mother. We'd string our finds on plantain stems and bring them back to Mom, who would cook them up on the pan in butter. So delicious!
