Some flowers actually start to bloom in Autumn!
Kaffir lily
euphorbia - comon name - spurge Euphorbia generally gives out a milky substance from the stems, which can cause irritation to the skin.

penny! I don't get a lot of autumn colour in my garden. Seems to go from scraggy to winter! LOL! A nice Japanese maple would add nice colour all year round, I think.

The flowers look lovely against, the green background of the page. There are so many pretty flowers still about too, and Whisker, you have captured them beautifully too. I love the Kaffir Lilly, don't think I have ever seen one before either
I will have to go out in the garden, as It looks so bright, with the Sunflowers, and Rudbeckia. I think Autumn flowers can look stunning.

thanks you elaine! Good to see you posting!
I love the colour of the kaffir lily. They grow from bulbs and are quite tough. they spread a lot from both seed and bulbs. another lily that comes out closer to November is the nerine lily. I think it's gorgeous. It's a vibrant pink.
I don't have any though. Might buy a pot of two of it in the garden centre. ;D

It is the colour I like too. I saw pots of Cyclamen today, and it was pale pink, and a deep cerise too, looked lovely.
