Salmon have returned to the once heavily polluted Tolka River in Dublin for the first time in 100 years.
Successful breeding of the elusive king of fish means the capital has three rivers producing wild stocks.
Great credit is due to the many people who's untiring work goes into the cleaning up of our rivers.

This is excellent news since Dublin, for a number of years had been branded "Dirty Dublin"! Now it is the only Capital city in Europe that can boast three river that can sustain salmon.

With alot of hard work on the clean up, and well done to all who participated in this effort.
