I think we can all be guilty sometimes of being too judgmental, with our thoughts. It is easy to judge when we are not walking in another persons shoes. Things can look different viewed from the outside, but, being inside, another picture is seen, and felt. I was told this today.... "I'd not be marrying at 89, had I listened to others" "Life lived by the advice of others would be like a garden that never flowers, or a bird that never sings a note" His advice was, this..." Let your heart sing, your face express, and your soul rejoice" I thought it was good sound advice too, and from such a lovely old gent too. Long may he be happy too...bless him.

I guess everyone deserves to be happy life is short and you have to do what you can..Some people are great romantics and love the idea of weddings and finding the perfect soul mate even if it is late in life..I am not a great romantic but each to his own..

I am an old romantic, I am sure I was born in the wrong century.
Life gives us situations, and opportunities, it is up to us what we do with them. Some may not understand our thoughts, or our doings, but life isn't meant be all plain sailing either.
If someone is happy with what they are doing, so be it, I may disagree, but it is not my place to say that they themselves is wrong in doing it, as it is their path.
Penny, I like that saying too. I have not heard of that one before.

Another one by Groucho -
I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.

“We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path.”

Not until you walk a mile in their shoes!

Its in our nature to be judgmental, regardless how aware we are of people's situations.

Sadly - most of us do tend to be that bit judgmental. It' not our best quality - come to think of it!
