It surely is as I post this - barely over 26 hours - I, for one, will be glad to see it go.
I feel 2012 will be a much better year.

12 is my lucky number. So I'm looking forward also. No sense looking back.

if we do look back, we can see that so much has changed forever since the start of 2011. the world has become so speeded up that even more will have changed by the end of 2012. There will be so many more advances in science, medicine and technology - things that we never dreamed of, I'm sure. This will bring a further change in consciousness - and it will be commonplace for people to discuss things they think are slightly mad in the present! Happy New Year! ;D Just my opinion!

When I look back its usually back when I was a little kid. You can't change anything from back then but it's good for a laugh at times. I think you look back to learn from your mistakes or even others mistakes. We just keep growing. Myself, I'm growing into a couch potato, meaning one that doesn't move much.

What about walking Sam every day and all of you leaf-sweeping, JB? Does that not keep you fit?

It gets so windy here the leave are starting to take care of themselves and as for Sam I'm thinking of getting a really long leash I can hook to the door and she can walk herself.

Don't worry, Whisker, JB is teasing! I think walking a dog would be the ideal exercise.

It is good exxercise but some days the walks are quick when it's really cold or raining. But with Sam's coats she rarely wants to come back in. I have one that wraps around her belly and with thhat on you have to drag her back in. She is finished but likes to check all the neighbors houses. Here she is. The coat is really thin but really warm.

The dog looks cosy. You could send him out to walk on his own with a satnav bleeper. Some dogs can find there own way home. I read of one that was injured by a car and trotted himself to the vet without human intervention.
Hi Whisker. Happy new year to you. We are surfacing back into normal routine. I have returned from my martial art practice. I forgot how much fun it was to be thrown around the dojo. Well.... it takes all sorts. Jaq is off into town to change her bank. The present one is soooo inefficient.

Happy New Year to you, too, crazyclive! You're back on English terra firma, I take it!
Glad to hear you are getting into your Chi Gong practice again.
Jan 7th is when the Festive Season is well and truly over. All most people now have in mind is recycling the Christmas Tree!
Getting back on track - have you any fresh insights re 2012. We're still getting loads of documentaries, the Mayan Calendar and latest volcanic eruptions to watch out for etc. etc.
I think, for most, the main concern is surviving all the tax-hikes the New Year Budgets have brought in.
LOL!
PS - Keep it quiet, that idea of sending Sam off for a walk on her own - and the dog which took himself to the vet all on his own. It might give JB some ideas that mightn't be for his own, or his dog's, good! ;D
