South Padre Island, Texas, April 8, 2009--After being rescued with just one flipper, Allison the green sea turtle has a new lease on life with her artificial fin.
Attached to Allison's shell with neoprene, the fin was developed at Sea Turtle, Inc., a turtle-rescue facility. Earlier, the group had tried to attach prosthetic flippers to Allison--which previously could only swim in circles--with no luck. —Photograph by Eric Gay/AP

I'd imageine she'd have to stay in a shelter all of her life. it looks like a "rough and ready" job!

Well I'm out of here in a couple minutes. My nephew is playing basketball today. He has two games and I plan on going to both.
