I have brought this up with Sainsburys, who now pick up and open the free bags for you, at every opportunity. They should be banned with a notice saying..."WE DO NOT provide carrier bags"
People would not use the store, they'd wake up, and lean to put some in the boot of the car, or walk in the shop with a bag, and stick it on the trolly handle.
Ok we do sometimes forget, or dash in, but shops need to be told off for doing this. They should be fined for how many bags they use and the fine go to charity and the store bad mouthed.
If people are given the choice to have a bag provided, where is the incentive to bring your own bag?

Look at this i went to that lovely country park today and found a bag hanging on a tree some people are past a joke.
