Today, we were at the market, and it was coming to an end, and the council men were clearing up. The market men know me, and offered me some plastic stacking crates, that veg are packed in.
I hate to see good stuff going to land fill, so I had three of them, ;D and they make a brilliant veg rack, and also are excellent for the garage to tidy up bits in.
I am back for more next week as making a magazine rack with them, and spraying it.
A lot of people simply don't ask, and I find being polite gets you a lot. Don't go nicking it, as it is them refused . I have had many wooden crates for free.

We would all be so much better off if we would recycle, reuse & repair! I hate to throw anything out that I could use for something else.

Me too! That is my downfall - that I always see an alternative use for things. I love giving things a new life LOL!

Isn't against my grain to be wasteful of anything - old saying waste not, want not!

Both my Mother & Grandmother were sensible hard-working women who knew the value of a dollar - as they say!

When my grandkids spent a couple of weeks w/ us this summer I think they wasted more food than they ate.

They make an excellent pet bad if you line it with an old duvet cut up, also make a garden sieve, which is excellent, as the holes are small enough for it to work.
I am going to get some to stand pots in, for in the green house, that way, it is easier to just lift it out, and to put the pots out of the greenhouse in to the rain; and not have to do each individual pot.
Now what else can I use it for, Join forces Whisker, and Penny we are the "Don't Chuck It Brigade"
