Looks like a great site, I just read the first article about the Everglades. We've been down to the Glades 3 or 4 times. In the summer, as you can imagine, the bugs are vicious. It's 'other-wordly' & extremely interesting.

It does look wonderful Penny. Every time I get an update, there is somewhere else I was to go visit. Do you have any pics to show Penny? It would be such an amazing experience to go there, bugs and all.

It's one place I would like to go, but I don't think I'd feel very comfortable wading there, LOL! I'd prefer to sit in one of those amphibious boats they have.

It must be a worry, what you will encounter, while there. Think of all, the wildlife, you would see though?

I don't think we have any pictures from down there. We'd NEVER wade in the water. Besides the main roads, there are some small, un-paved roads. We were driving down one & saw something in the road way, way ahead of us - as we got closer we could see it was an alligator walking/waddling across the road!! Even though we were entirely safe (being in a pick-up truck) that is a creepy feeling.

What I'd be especially nervous of is snakes.

We saw snakes, baby alligators, lots of turtles & armadillos.

Lovely to see from a safe distance - but not from up close and personal!

Must have been a wonderful experience though Penny. There are so many wonderful places, we can only dream of seeing, and the wildlife their, IMO is stunning, and beautiful.

Great newspaper, ealine! Just looking this morning - and the first thing I see is that shocking , bizarre news about the travelers' camp who are accused of keeping 24 men in "slavery" in horrible living conditions for up to fifteen years. Amazing how that could happen in this day and age!
