Some of us may dream of a huge apartment, or house, while others live in smaller places, and don't seem to mind.
When space is a premium, what do you do, do you move out, or utilize the space you have instead?
Gary Chang, did just that, he used the space well, when he found his tiny apartment too small.
He created sliding walls to divide off the living area, creating new rooms. I think this is fantastic, what a great idea for small living space, what do others think of his ideas?

This is mind-blowing, elaine! for finding it. I think we could utilize a number of these ideas in places such as kitchen conversions and garage conversions. The fold-up bed is something that would work very well in a garage conversion. And of course, the double use for a "soak-bath" is very good for putting up a guest. Could work well where people share custody of a child, who comes to stay over, for a couple of nights a week. Also a hideaway office could be made that way. Love it! LOVE IT! ;D

I agree w/ Whisker! Over here beds like that are called 'Murphy beds'. I want a wall like his 'library' wall! Ingenius ideas.

I am glad you liked it, I have just shown my son this, who has a small space room. I am sure we could all have tables that lift up, and beds that fold down too, to make more space.
The idea also, is to use all wall space, and have shelving that goes the full height of the room too. There are lots of ways to make it look practical and functional too.
I loved the idea of the gold light coming through the windows too, something I am sure you could do with coloured cellophane, or coloured perspex too, something I will be looking in too, for my attic room.
Penny, I just googled those Murphy beds, and think they are brilliant too. Are they really popular in the USA? I must admit, I had not seen any of them here before, but we do have them.
