I have seen quite a few here, as they are simply planted as hedges. I am eagle eyed now, as have quite a lot to make jam with.
I have seen one on a bit of land I do not know owns it, but they are high up. Luckily I have long arms, and a cheek too, so will ask about, and see if I can have some. One is near where I work too, so will ask when I pass by it tomorrow.
I don't think many people do have cherry plum trees in their gardens much now though, unless it is an old garden.
I was over the moon today, as got given a huge bag of Victoria plums, which I love. I will make a fruit cake with some, do a crumble with the others, and make jam with the rest. You should see the size of this bag .
It is lovely when you get surprises like that, so I will not let them go to waste, at all.
I have never seen a damson tree at all, although I do love damson jam. I know where a few pear trees are too, along by a tow path, and a huge apple tree. WF, you will have to go and get some damsons later on too, and make something nice.
