www.channel4.com/programmes/tony-robinsons-gods-and-monsters/4od#3261660 I know this is a bit gory, so please be warned, don't want to upset anyone. I found this programme to be interesting, if what a bit creepy.
How many people are resting like this, under our roads we know nothing about? My son watched this, and I didn't, so we watched it together, it opened our eyes to a lot we didn't know about.

I watched about 15 mins of it yesterday but ran out of time. I'll try to catch the rest of it later because what I did see was fascinating.

Alpha, it is on again tonight, I will be glued to the box watching that. I like to know past histories, and what went on, macabre as it may be, how else do we learn about it. I will be ok, as long as no one goes BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Oh Rats I missed it Elaine. I'm going to watch out for the repeats and set them to record so I can watch it at leisure. I love programmes like this. Humans are such a weird lot.

I watched Number 2 last night - all about or belief in demons and fairies.
I grew up with a knowledge of Fairy ring forts. They usually consist of a hill mound in the middle of a field, with trees growing in a circle on the top. Mostly they are not disturbed by the farmers and are sometimes fenced off. In other cases cattle and other stock use them as shelters. Still quite an amount of superstition surrounds them.
Also there are single trees found growing in the middle of a field - known as "fairy trees" I remember, a few years ago, people in a particular area would not allow a fairy tree to be dug up when a new road was planned. Eventually the planners had to reroute their road to satisfy the local people. They, the locals, feared that, if their tree was disturbed, it would bring BAD LUCK!
