The armadillo is strange looking. They have them out west also. Probably live in most of the southern states. We don't have any whre I live.

Don't know how I missed this thread yesterday!!
I LOOOOOOVE the manatees & HATE the wild boars. We like to walk in state parks, but if we ever saw a feral pig like that I'd never do it again! They grow to huge sizes. My parents saw "key deer" when they were down in the Keys. They are tiny deer that look like babies b/c they're so small.

They have the wild boars in Arizona too and they cause a lot of damage but I don't think they ever grow to huge sizes like they do in Florida. Not as much vegitation I guess.
